South Africa

For the first time in several years, I wanted to spend Christmas outside of Europe – and South Africa quickly proved to be the perfect destination. South Africa is vast and offers an enormous variety of habitats – my main goal was to see the different girdled lizards, but also the dwarf Bitis. In a short two-week trip, I certainly couldn’t see everything, but South Africa provided me with incredible insights into its wildlife, and I’m already looking forward to my next visit.
